Mike Nemergut joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in August 1989 when it was Thermo Electron, serving as a product marketing manager in the Thermo Environmental Instruments Inc. business. He was named International Marketing Manager in July 1993 and in 2002 was given responsibility for global marketing for the newly formed Air Quality Instruments (AQI) business. In March 2008, Mike was named vice president and general manager of AQI. Upon formation of the Environmental and Process Monitoring (EPM) business in March 2012, Mike became the VP Global Sales and Commercial Operations for this expanded operating unit. In June 2016, he assumed additional VP Global Sales and Commercial Operations responsibilities for the Portable Analytical Instruments (PAI) business resulting in nearly $400M of global revenue responsibility. From January 2017 through September 2020, Mike operated as the VP Global Commercial for the Chemical Analysis Division entailing a $900M portfolio serving a broad range of markets including, life sciences, environmental monitoring, process monitoring, food safety, mining, homeland security and metals production.
Prior to joining Thermo Fisher, Nemergut served as product marketing manager for the Bausch & Lomb Analytical Products Division in Rochester, NY.
Nemergut received a bachelor’s of science degree in Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1987.
